For most of June I worked in Georgetown on top of a commercial and residential building creating a green roof. The technical part of laying down and sealing numerous water proofing membranes was done before I arrived. The soil and wood I used had also already been placed on the roof by a crane. I built the boxes, filled them with soil, put together a drip irrigation system with a timer, and then planted transplants of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, basil, rosemary and later did some direct seeding.
